Coronavirus in the North West: This is every confirmed case in the North West on Sunday, August 2, 2020

Nationwide, the latest figures from Public Health England show ​a total of 303,952 labconfirmed cases across the UK.

It means another 771 people tested positive on Saturday, August 2 with a further 74 deaths recorded across Britain.

Since the outbreak began, there has been a total of 46,193 recorded deaths associated with COVID-19 in the UK.

This is every confirmed case in the North West

The figures include all deaths of people who have had a positive test result confirmed by a Public Health or NHS laboratory.

Since April 29, the death count has included all settings, including care homes.

In the North West today (Sunday, August 2, 2020), there is a total of 46,277 confirmed cases – an increase of 122cases.

In order of Upper Tier Local Authorities (e.g. Lancashire County Council, Blackpool Council etc.) most affected:

Manchester – 3,306 (Up 37 from 3,269)

Cumbria – 2,842 (Up 10 from 2,832)

Liverpool – 2,560 (Up 4 from 2,556)

Cheshire East – 2,245 (Up 4 from 2,241)

Wigan – 2,182 (Up 3 from 2,179)

Oldham – 2,134 (Up 13 from 2,121)

Wirral – 2,067 (No change)

Cheshire West and Chester – 2,043 (Up 3 from 2,040)

Bolton – 1,993 (Up 3 from 1,987)

Rochdale – 1,870 (Up 6 from 1,864)

Stockport – 1,748 (Up 13 from 1,735)

Tameside – 1,625 (Up 15 from 1,610)

Sefton – 1,570 (No change)

Salford – 1,462 (Up 9 from 1,453)
