
Nationwide, the latest figures from Public Health England show a total of 467,146 lab–confirmed cases across the UK.
It means another 6,968 people tested positive in the UK on Friday, October 2, 2020.
These are the figures for the North West
In the North West today (Saturday, October 3, 2020), there has been a total of 88,284 confirmed cases since testing began – an increase of 1,603.
There are currently 676 people in the region’s hospitals who are being treated for COVID-19, including 93 on ventilation.
A total of 20,814 people have received treatment for the virus at North West hospitals since the pandemic began.
