It means another 7,143 people tested positive in the UK on Tuesday, September 29, 2020.
These are the figures for the North West
In the North West today (Wednesday, September 30, 2020), there has been a total of 82,371 confirmed cases since testing began – an increase of 1,816.
There are currently 612 people in the region’s hospitals who are being treated for COVID-19, including 82 on ventilation.
A total of 20,521 people have received treatment at North West hospitals since the pandemic began.
